Thereafter, Dy SS Shrivastava informed the medical emergency team's doctor and 108 emergency ambulance services.
When the train arrived at Bhopal station around 12.20 am, Dy SS himself went to the coach. However, the woman was not in a condition to be taken to the hospital due to severe labour pains. Hence, she delivered her new-born with the help of other women in the general coach.
After the delivery, Shrivastava accompanied the woman, travelling with her husband and 3-year old to a 108 ambulance, after safely depositing their luggage at the RPF police station outside platform no 1 of Bhopal station. They were then taken to the railway hospital and later the family was put on a Mumbai-bound train towards their destination.
